  • Humble Design Inc. changes lives and communities by custom designing and fully furnishing home interiors for individuals, families, and veterans emerging from homelessness. We create dignity through design. A house is not a home without a warm bed and a place to gather with family. Our home makeovers change an entire mindset, generating an immediate focus on self-empowerment and long-term stability. Humble Design sets families on a course toward a bright and hopeful future. We assist in transforming lives in Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, San Diego, and Seattle.

  • The 100 Club of Illinois provides resources, several forms of financial support, access to training, and moral support to both the families of first responders killed in the line of duty and active duty first responders throughout the state of Illinois. All sworn federal, state, county, and local first responders stationed in Illinois are included.

The need is simple - our 100 Club families and first responders need connections to the proper support services to be resilient. The Club aims to do just that through Educational Assistance and access - both monetary and programmatic - to mental health and wellness services.

  • Humanitarian Service Project’s (HSP) mission is “to alleviate the pain and suffering that poverty brings to children and the elderly in DuPage and Kane counties without discrimination or exclusion for any reason.” This statement has guided HSP’s endeavors since its inception in 1979. Pursuant to this mission, HSP manages three major programs to serve the needs of vulnerable populations in its service area: the Children’s Project, the Senior Citizen Project, and the Christmas Offering.

  • St. James Food Pantry has been in existence since 1972 when Sr. Carlotta Oberzut, RSM, a teacher in the parish school, formed a food distribution program as a means of assisting needy school families. From that small but effective start, the food pantry has emerged as one that extends compassionate support to its neighbors, serving an average of 1,500 households each month.

For many years, St. James Food Pantry has been a beacon of hope for families and individuals living in nearby public housing and the elderly living in several of the Chicago Housing Authority Senior Buildings. High unemployment levels and the increasing scarcity of affordable housing produce a greater need for the services Saint James Food Pantry provides than ever before. They do not restrict our services based on income or religious affiliation. Clients are served solely on whether or not they reside in the 60616 or 60605 zip codes.

  • Project I Am was created by Jahkil Naeem Jackson when he was 8 years old. Jahkil, now 16, has a heartfelt desire to help those in need. After helping his aunt distribute food to the unhoused in Chicago, he knew that he wanted to do more to make a difference.

Jahkil is now a two-time best-selling author and motivational speaker on a mission to influence kids around the country to get involved in their communities. He plans to continue to join forces with other like-minded youth to lead a life of service, encouraging them to find their passions and make the world a better place. Project I Am creates awareness and provides temporary support and long-term solutions for the unhoused. It is a leading service organization that celebrates and cultivates Youth Change Agents to create global impact.

  • The mission of Project Fire Buddies is to offer support and give back to children fighting critical illnesses. Members visit Fire Buddies in their homes, oftentimes arriving in a parade of fire vehicles with lights blazing and sirens blaring. They bring gifts for birthdays and holidays, play games, provide tickets to concerts and special events, and attend important events in the children’s lives. Fire Buddies even visit the firehouse on occasion for dinner with the crew, for tours of the station and to see the rigs.

Since its inception, PFB has been steadily growing and expanding. From 2023 to 2024 alone, the organization grew by 500%. New chapters are committing to the mission every day, bringing joy to even more children.

  • St. Francis High School is a Catholic, college preparatory learning community that promotes spiritual, academic, physical, and social development in the daily presence of Jesus Christ. Its mission is to educate the young men and women of neighboring towns and Catholic parishes and to nurture their spiritual growth.

SFHS partners with parents in the promotion of the spiritual, academic, physical, and social development of each student entrusted to the school and strives to assist each student to achieve his or her spiritual, intellectual, and social potential. SFHS welcomes all regardless of their race, color, sex, physical disability, national or ethnic origin, religious affiliation, or immigration status.

  • The Yard Foundation’s mission is to provide funding and assistance to firefighters, first responders, and their families who are in need, be it from illness, disease, or other circumstances.

In 2015, The Yard Foundation emerged from a firefighter training group on Facebook and quickly became a beacon of support and compassion for those who put their lives on the line every day. It all started with a simple idea: firefighters helping firefighters. This has grown into a force of over 50,000 members united by a shared purpose. Today, The Yard Foundation stands as the leading resource for firefighters and their families in their time of need.
